Daron has been involved in the sport of boxing for almost 20 years as a fighter, coach and gym owner. As an athlete he fought in nearly 20 amateur bouts earning a winning record while training with world ranked boxers and some of Canada's elite trainers. Daron has also trained muay thai and MMA fighters in boxing. He is N.C.C.P certified and is extremely passionate about health, fitness and self mastery.

Coach Lareb (Lala) Hussain is our trailblazing women’s only boxing coach dedicated to empowering women through the art of boxing. With a passion for fitness and self-defence, she has fostered strength, confidence and resilience in her all-female training sessions.
Coach Lala has been leading women’s only boxing at Scarberian since 2019. Before that, she was a competitive amateur boxer for several years. Coach Lala is also a Police Officer with Durham Regional Police Services. Her commitment extends beyond the ring, championing the belief that every woman has the right to feel powerful and capable.

Jamil Rashid is Scarberian Boxing Club's first competitive fighter and 2014 Golden Gloves champion (masters division). In just a few years, Jamil had wracked up over 10 competitive fights including boxing and muay thai, while approaching 50 years of age! Jamil truly exemplifies toughness and determination and is enthusiastically involved in building up our young competitive team.

Coach Robert is among Canada's most accomplished amateur boxers, boxing from 1980-1990 and competing in a total of 130 bouts! He was Ontario champion in 1985 and 1989 and went on to the international stage competing in Bulgaria, Germany and Ireland. Coach Robert brings an incredible amount of knowledge and experience to our club, not to mention his passion for giving back to his community and building up youth to be leaders for tomorrow.

Alex has been involved in boxing since 2004 and brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to Scarberian Boxing Club. He is a Level 1 NCCP coach and has assisted multiple recreational and competitive boxers to help them find their success in and outside the ring over the past 18 years. While coaching he obtained his Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto in 2010 and further completed additional boxing programs such as BOX-ON and CHAMPS with Boxing Ontario.
